My Journey: The Code Behind the Booking
My career sits at the unique intersection of computer science and tourism.
It started with a degree in Computer Applications, where I learned to think in logic and code. But my heart was in travel. After graduation, I cut my teeth at Edmond Travel Ltd., spending three years learning the traditional agency ropes.
In 2003, I saw where the future was heading. I combined my technical background with my industry experience to launch my own online hotel booking platform—the predecessor to HotelMr.
For 17 years, I lived and breathed the hotel business. I successfully ran that platform until the global pandemic brought the travel world to a standstill in 2020. But while the business closed, my passion—and my expertise—remained.
Why HotelMr Exists Today
In 2024, I relaunched HotelMr.com with a new mission.
I realized that travelers today don’t need another place to book a room; they need to know how to book it. Drawing on my 20 years of experience, I know exactly how OTAs work, how loyalty algorithms tick, and where the hidden value lies.
