Accor completely overhauled its premium hotel subscription program in October 2025, replacing the legacy Accor Plus with the new ALL Accor+ Explorer membership.
This update brought a unified global brand, but it also changed how you extract value from the program. Some benefits became easier to use, while others saw noticeable downgrades.
If you are considering paying the $249 USD annual fee—or using 14,000 ALL Reward points to cover the cost—you need to know exactly how the math works. This guide breaks down the actual benefits, the strict limitations, and the specific strategies you can use to justify the cost.
The Geographic Catch: Read This First
Before looking at free nights or dining discounts, you must understand where this card actually works.
If you live in the United States or Europe and only travel domestically, this membership is not for you. The most valuable perks of the Explorer card are locked exclusively to 22 countries across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
You will only get maximum value if your upcoming trips include:
- Oceania: Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, French Polynesia
- Southeast Asia: Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia (including Bali), Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar
- East Asia: South Korea, Japan, Greater China (Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan), Mongolia
- South Asia & Middle East: India, Maldives, United Arab Emirates
If you have a vacation planned to any of these destinations, keep reading. If not, you can safely skip this program.
Breaking Down the Core Benefits
The ALL Accor+ Explorer card focuses on three main areas: elite status tracking, room discounts, and dining savings. Here is exactly what you get.

The Elite Shortcut: 30 Status Nights
One of the most practical perks is the automatic deposit of 30 Status Nights into your account the moment you sign up.
In the Accor Live Limitless (ALL) program, 30 nights instantly upgrades you to Gold status. Earning this status organically normally requires €2,800 in eligible spending at Accor properties. Gold provides late check-out, early check-in, and a welcome drink.
More importantly, it puts you exactly halfway to Platinum status (which requires 60 nights). Platinum unlocks real financial value, giving you free daily breakfast in the Asia Pacific region and executive lounge access worldwide.
Two “Stay Plus” Free Nights (The BOGO Rule)
The membership gives you two Stay Plus certificates, valid at over 1,400 participating hotels across APAC and the UAE. The rules for using these certificates changed entirely with the new program.
You can no longer book a single free night by itself. The current policy requires a minimum two-night stay. You pay cash for the first night, and the Stay Plus certificate covers the second night. It operates exactly like a “Buy One, Get One” (BOGO) offer, and you can use this benefit twice a year.

The Major Improvement: Accor removed strict hotel allocation limits. Previously, finding a free night was frustrating because hotels heavily restricted their Stay Plus inventory. Now, if a standard room is available to book with cash, you can generally use your certificate (standard blackout dates still apply).
The Restrictions: You can only use one Stay Plus certificate per stay. You cannot stack both certificates to get two free nights on a four-night stay at the same hotel. Additionally, you must pay the required cash night with actual money; you cannot use ALL reward points for it.
Global Room and Regional Dining Discounts
Members receive a 15% discount on public room rates globally across more than 5,000 hotels and 30 brands. Keep in mind that a free ALL account already provides a member discount (typically around 5% to 10% off), so your actual net gain with this card is usually an additional 5% to 10% discount compared to a standard member.

Brand Exclusions: Outside of the Asia Pacific region, several lifestyle brands completely opt out of this discount. Do not expect savings at 25hours, Hyde, Mama Shelter, Mondrian, SO/, Tribe, or ibis Budget in Europe or the Americas.

Within the APAC region and the UAE, the discounts get much better:
- Red Hot Rooms: Access to limited-time promotions offering up to 50% off select properties in APAC and the UAE.
- Dining: A flat 30% discount on food bills at over 1,750 hotel restaurants (for tables up to 10 people). You do not need to be staying at the hotel to use this; walk-ins are welcome.
- Drinks: A 15% discount on beverages at over 1,250 bars across the entire APAC region and the UAE.
Where the Program Loses Points
Long-time Accor loyalists will notice a few distinct downsides compared to the pre-2025 system.
First, the dining discount is a downgrade for couples and solo guests. The old program offered 50% off food for two people. The new flat 30% rate is better if you travel with a large family (up to 10 people), but worse if it is just you and a partner.
Second, the end of the completely free one-night stay hurts. You used to be able to use a certificate for a quick, zero-cost airport hotel stay before a flight. Now, you must commit to two nights and spend cash out of pocket to extract that value.

Pro-Tips for Maximizing Your $249
If the benefits align with your travel plans, use these strategies to ensure you extract more value out of the card than the initial cost.
1. The Expiry Date Hack
Your membership expires at the end of the calendar month, not 365 days from your exact sign-up date. If you buy the membership on March 1st, it remains valid until March 31st of the following year. By joining on the first day of the month, you essentially secure nearly 13 months of active benefits.
2. The Reservation Split Strategy
Because you can only use one Stay Plus certificate per stay, longer trips require a workaround. If you are staying five nights, do not book them all at once.
Book your first two nights using the Stay Plus benefit (paying cash for one, getting one free). Then, make a completely separate reservation for the remaining three nights using your ALL reward points or the standard 15% member discount.
Practical Advice: Immediately email the hotel’s front desk with both confirmation numbers. Ask them to “link” the reservations. In most cases, they will keep you in the same room so you do not have to check out and check back in.
3. The Platinum Fast-Track Combo (Proceed with Caution)
If your primary goal is reaching Platinum status for free global breakfast, consider stacking memberships. Some members combine the Explorer card (30 nights) with the “ALL Plus China” premium card (20 nights) to drastically reduce the hotel stays required for Platinum.
Risk Warning: Accor normally caps subscription-earned nights at 30. However, an ALL Plus China loophole currently bypasses this, granting up to 50 nights (leaving 10 actual nights needed for Platinum). Proceed with caution; Accor could enforce the 30-night cap at any time.

The Final Verdict: Is It Worth It?
The ALL Accor+ Explorer membership is no longer a tool for entirely free one-night stays. It is a highly structured discount program designed to reward multi-night stays and fast-track your elite status.
To break even on the $249 fee, each of your two Stay Plus certificates needs to save you at least $125.
You should subscribe if:
- You have a confirmed trip to the Asia Pacific region or the UAE this year.
- You plan to stay at least two nights at mid-to-high-tier participating properties, where a single night’s cash rate easily exceeds $125.
- You are chasing ALL Platinum status and need a 30-night boost.
You should probably skip it if:
- Your upcoming travels are strictly within North America or Europe.
- You prefer one-night hotel hops, which makes the new Stay Plus certificates useless.
- You want to pay for your entire vacation using points rather than cash.
